Camera Shy

I took the bus to Tepotzlan for a 3 day silent Vipassana retreat. I discovered this magical place on a previous visit when I stumbled upon a shop that does aura photography. I am a sucker for this photo medium as the first time I had my aura photographed, I had the full rainbow spectrum which my ego adored. The second time, it was one color dominant and I don’t remember what it was, because I prefer the rainbow!

This photo brings me to all of those experiences because this photo was taken outside of a shop in town.

This shot is a tale of two women. The white Latina is smiling confident and relaxed for the camera; the indigenous woman looks away, hiding her face from what may have felt like the assault of my lens.
